FUND RAISING
We raise funds primarily through one program – FedEx Field. During Redskins home games, we staff two food booths by preparing and selling food to spectators. Approximately 50 volunteers are needed at each game. This provides approximately $50,000 annually to support the Music Program.
EXAMPLES OF FUND USE IN PREVIOUS YEARS
- Student credits to help pay for the Music Trips
- 2009 Caribbean Cruise
- 2008 Orlando
- 2007 Virginia Beach
- 2006 New York
- Choral robes
- Marching Band uniforms
- Timpani ($12,000)
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We need many volunteers to help us meet our Goal. Without the help of volunteers, we would not be able to provide the financial, administrative, and programmatic support needed by OLGCHS’s many vocal and instrumental performance groups. We need your help! There are many ways to assist the Band and Chorus programs. Check back soon and we will have a list of projects and other ways you can help during the 2007/8 academic year. Please contact Henry Kahwaty or any other Officer to volunteer.
